- In 2006, we published the first edition of our Legal Interpreter Training Guide. This Guide addresses many aspects of legal interpreting and provides extensive language-specific resources for interpreters of Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish languages.
- In 2008, we came out with a 2nd edition of the Guide including an expanded language-specific portion. Portuguese, Bosnian, Croatian, Romanian and Serbian versions were also added to the list of languages. Currently, we offer Legal and Medical Training guides and Linguistic Resources in 9 languages. - In 2008, we moved our training programs to a new medium and developed our innovative legal interpreter training program. We began to offer the same opportunity, quality and commitment to excellence in interpreter training to a much broader demographic by launching this program online in a multitude of languages. At this time, we offer our training in Albanian, Arabic, French, Haitian-Creole, Hmong, German, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. - While our legal interpreter training program continues to grow, we’ve also worked on developing a comprehensive curriculum for healthcare interpreters. In 2012, we launched a number of training programs for healthcare interpreters whose ultimate goals are to prepare for a certification exam, meet CCHI and NBCMI eligibility requirements, develop interpretation techniques through language-specific training, expand their knowledge of the healthcare system, medical procedure, and other specialized terminology, and improve their performance as a healthcare interpreter. Several Single-Topic units are already available and other courses are coming very soon. Our Healthcare Interpreter training courses are offered in Albanian, Arabic, French, Haitian-Creole, Hmong, German, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
