Russian and Language-Neutral

Ms. Jinny Bromberg is a Michigan and Minnesota State Court Certified Interpreter between the Russian and English languages. She is qualified by the U.S. Department of State as a seminar interpreter. Ms. Bromberg holds a BA in Russian language and Speech Therapy from Moscow Teacher’s University in Russia, and a Certificate in Communications from University of Michigan, Dearborn. Jinny has 15 years of experience as a court interpreter, a conference interpreter, and a health-care interpreter. As a founder of translation and interpretation agency Bromberg & Associates, she has promoted interpreter education in Michigan since 1999 and, as a part of Interpreter Education Online, LLC,  launched e-learning training courses for legal interpreter available at www.InterpreterEducationOnline.com

Ms. Irina Jesionowski is a Certified Russian Court Interpreter and a contract seminar interpreter for the U.S. Department of State. Ms. Jesionowski has served as a court, medical and conference interpreter in the U.S. since 2001. Since 2005, she has been working as an interpreter trainer at Bromberg & Associates. In this capacity, she oversees interpreter education and performance evaluation programs, as well as client and community education. Since 2008, Irina has served as a Senior Curriculum Designer and Content Developer at Interpreter Education Online.

French and Spanish

Molly Smith was born and raised in the U.S. Midwest. She has a degree in Spanish and French from DePauw University in Indiana, and a degree in Technical Translation from the University of Rennes in Western France. She is certified as a court interpreter for the state of Indiana in Spanish and French and is working towards Federal Court Interpreter Certification in Spanish. She has worked as a medical, court, and over-the-phone interpreter and has taught courses in both medical and court interpreting. She currently resides in Mexico City where she studies traditional Mexican musical genres such as mariachi and son jarocho. She plays flute, saxophone, guitar and jarana segunda and is a member of the son jarocho musical group Soneros e Invitados.

Spanish

Ms. Jennifer De La Cruz has a degree in Spanish and is Certified as a Translator by the American Translator’s Association (Spanish into English), in addition to being certified as a Court Interpreter for both the California and Federal Courts. She has been an interpreter educator for over 11 years, and has worked extensively in the medical and legal fields as both an interpreter and a translator. She received a BA in Spanish at the California State University, as well as Medical Interpreter Certificate at Southern California School of Interpretation.

Portuguese / Spanish

Richard Lankenau is a Certified Court Interpreter of the Portuguese and Spanish languages in the state of Georgia with an extensive interpretation practice in federal and state courts at all stages of criminal, civil and administrative procedures. He also provides language services to health-care organizations. Mr. Lankenau earned a PhD. in Medical Science and Economics from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Bachelor of Business Administration from San Francisco State University. Prior to embracing his career of a professional interpreter and translator, Mr. Lankenau utilized his multilingualism while coordinating numerous international business projects involving 108 countries and in forty years of service had gained an enormous experience in international communication.

German

Ms. Elke Kramer is an experienced translator and interpreter between the German, Dutch, French, and English languages. Ms. Kramer earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy, with a focus on language and management studies. She also graduated with Honors in Bachelor of Arts in International Business at the University of Plymouth, Great Britain. Ms. Kramer also earned a double-degree in International Business and Law from the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund, Germany. She has served as a language professional and as a business leader in multiple international and educational settings, including Global Corporate Training Programs at Wayne State University, MI and as the Director of the Language and Cultural Training Department, University of Detroit Mercy, just to name a few. Ms. Kramer has been invited to host more than 60 seminars on international strategies and marketing.

Arabic

Mr. Ali Djebli, SME (Subject Matter Expert) is an Arabic Certified Medical Interpreter by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters, a certified Arabic Court Interpreter for New York State and a certified Immigration & Legal Interpreter by Language Line Services. Mr. Djebli also holds a Trainer Certificate from AT&T School of Business and Technology and has been certified by American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages as a language tester. He has been serving as an Arabic Interpreter in New York state courts and as an Immigration Interpreter since 1995. As a Translator, Interpreter Trainer, and Quality Specialist for Language Line Services, he provided expert interpreting and translating in multi-industry settings with over 5000 completed projects; and has administered training to many groups of interpreters. He has worked on the development and implementation of both the Medical screening tests and the Legal and Medical Certification Tests for Language Line University. He served as a leader in developing over the phone program, “Train the Trainer” and developed Interpreter Guide-Industry Specific Glossary & Call Handling Procedures including business, finance, computer, insurance, legal, medical, and technical terminology.

Mr. Elsadig Hag-Elagib is an Arabic Certified Court Interpreter in the State of Michigan. With 30 years of interpreting and translation experience in the United States and overseas mostly in Saudi Arabia and Sudan, he worked on a large number of projects including legal, medical, conference, technical, scientific and business translation and interpretation with solid record of achievements. He also provided effective services to state & federal courts, government agencies, major law firms, hospitals and healthcare providers. As a Michigan State Court Administrative Office approved trainer, he taught workshops to aspiring Arabic interpreters on modes of interpreting, ethics, and professional responsibilities of court interpreters. Graduated from the University of Khartoum in 1975, he earned a Masters degree in education from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids MI in 2007. He lived and practiced teaching and interpreting in the Arabic countries and gained substantial experience in almost all Arabic dialects.

Mandarin

Ms. Sunny Wang is a California State court certified and Federal court approved Mandarin interpreter. Ms. Wang holds a BA equivalent degree in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University; an honorary MA degree from LA Institute of Translation and Interpretation and a MA degree from California Graduate School of Theology.  Ms. Wang works extensively with California court system in all counties as well as with private attorneys as deposition and trial interpreter. She has also served as simultaneous interpreter for many international conferences.  On weekends Ms. Wang teaches in LA Institute of Translation and Interpretation as an instructor for its California Court Certification Mandarin program. Ms. Wang was an English News anchor and program host for Beijing People’s Radio Station. She has also hosted Chinese talk shows for AM1300 and AM1370 in Los Angeles. In addition, she was an editor and contributing writer for two Chinese languages magazines in Los Angles. Ms. Wang translated more than 50 Hollywood movies and provided interpretation services on screen and in press conferences for popular TV shows such as “Ellen DeGeneres Show ”, “America’s Got Talent”, ”George Lopez Tonight” and news programs such as “NBC Nightly News”.

Li DongDr.  Dong Isbister is an experienced and a certified telephonic and video healthcare Mandarin interpreter, a volunteer with CCHI, and a SEMIA board member. She also has experience designing curriculum and teaching courses in healthcare interpreting, Women’s Studies, and ESL.  Her work experience includes teaching college English in China and assigned history, literature, and women’s studies courses at Michigan State University and Ohio State University.

Vietnamese

Ms. Lana Nguyen is a Consortium Certified Court Interpreter between the Vietnamese and English languages. She holds a BS in Medical Technology from Wichita State University, Kansas and has been serving as a court and healthcare interpreter since 2001. In 2008, she started providing consulting/rating services to Prometric, a leading global provider of comprehensive testing and assessment services for the State Courts as well as being invited to join the National Center for State Courts in 2009

Korean

 

Haitian-Creole

Mr. Ralph Desmangles is a Court Certified interpreter and experienced translator between the Haitian Creole, French, and English languages.

Mr. Desmangles has served as an interpreter for countless assignments & projects involving Haitian Creole and French witnesses during all types of proceedings for the U.S. State Department and the State and Federal courts. He worked on various projects translating materials from French and Haitian Creole to English and vice versa involving a wide range of subjects. Moreover, Mr. Desmangles participates in the assessment of various new court interpreters certification exams. Mr. Desmangles also served as Liaison/Interpreter between Haitian diplomats, Haitian-American organizations and the press several times including during President Aristide’s visit to Miami, Florida.
